A former Starbucks employee has revealed the secret orders to keep you fit and healthy.

Kicking off the day with a caffeine fix is something most of us are familiar with, and many of us often queue up at our favourite local coffee joint. With Starbucks chains as staple fixtures in city centres and on delivery apps, temptation is always at hand. Now that autumn has made its entrance, the coffee franchise's fans are scampering for the seasonal specials – from pumpkin-spice delights to apple-tinged treats.

Maddie Milton knows all too well the daily lure of these sweet sips, having served them up for four years. But discipline prevailed, and now, as a Pilates guru who broadcasts health wellness online, she's divulging her go-to healthy Starbucks drinks.

Taking to TikTok, Maddie, who has more than 37,000 followers, shared: "As someone who cares about health and fitness, I love making my take on a brown sugar shaken espresso."

Swapping out syrup for a simple sachet of brown sugar, she explained: "It [brown sugar syrup] had some additives I didn't want." When not in the mood for coffee, she said she would opt for black tea with a splash of milk.

She also recommends swapping sugar or syrup for honey or agave, claiming it's "so good". She confessed: "Agave was my favourite kind of sweetener to use. I didn't drink many of the syrups, but the pumpkin [syrup] was just something I couldn't say no to."

To combat dehydration during her shifts, she revealed she would mix a packet of sea salt into a large iced water and "chug it".

Maddie shared: "I love all of our unsweetened iced teas. My go to milk was almond milk, because it had the least additives and least sugar and I've always loved the cold brew - this is my favourite thing to get whenever I go back now."
